TCC Curriculum
The School of T'ai Chi Chuan teaches T'ai Chi in nine levels, which include:
- Beginning Form - learning the sequence of the movements
- T'ai Chi Principles Class (Eight Ways) - developing an awareness of the internal principles using the Eight Ways
- Fundamentals - practicing and applying these principles throughout the form
- Push-Hands I - learning the introductory movements of push-hands practice. This is a cooperative way of working with a partner to deepen our embodiment of the principles
- Intermediate Form - applying the deeper level of T'ai Chi principles learned in Push Hands I to the form so that the form becomes much more fluid
- Push-Hands II - learning two-handed push-hands
- Push-Hands III - deepening the principles within two-handed push-hands
- Push-Hands IV through VII - embodying the principles in the martial arts application of T'ai Chi
- Tai Chi Sword Form and beyond
Learning to teach, for those who are interested, is an integral part of our curriculum. It is my sincere desire to help each student progress as far as you care to go.
