Outdoor Practice Sessions

Saturday mornings 9am on Queen Anne, 2nd Ave N. and Galer,
across from the QA High School Condominiums.


Monday evenings 6:30pm in Wallingford,
behind the Good Shepherd Center (the west side of the building).


Free and open to anyone who has studied with us.

Introduction to Tai Chi

A hybrid learning experience starting June 19, 2021

This four-week course will be taught in-person, outdoors with optional daily Zoom practice sessions and streaming video reviews.  A team of experienced teachers will focus on the qualities and movements of tai chi.  You will learn simple practices that cultivate a calm mind and healthy body.  

•    Instruction outdoors on Queen Anne Saturdays 10-10:45am    
•    Weekday morning Zoom practice sessions (optional)
•    On-demand streaming video to review the material

Dates: Saturday, June 19 through Friday, July 16. 
 
Cost: $100; scholarships available by request.  Register before 5pm June 18.

We have found that students who take this introductory class learn the rest if the tai chi form much more easily.

Introduction to Tai Chi, Part 2

This four-week course will continue from Intro to Tai Chi, part 1.

•    Instruction on Zoom Wednesdays at 7-7:45pm on 6/23, 6/30, 7/7, and 7/14.

 •    Practice outdoors on Queen Anne, Saturdays 9-9:30am. (optional)

 

 •    Weekday morning Zoom practice sessions at 8:05, 6/24-7/16 (optional)

•    On-demand streaming video to review the material

 

Cost: $100; scholarships available by request.

This four-week course will continue from Intro to Tai Chi, part 2.

•    Instruction on Zoom Sundays at 9am on 6/20, 6/27, 7/11, and 7/18.

 •    Practice outdoors on Queen Anne, Saturdays 9-9:30am. (optional)

 

 •    Weekday morning Zoom practice sessions at 7:30, 6/21-7/16 (optional)

•    On-demand streaming video to review the material

 

Cost: $100; scholarships available by request.

OTHER OPTIONS FOR LEARNING DURING COVID

If you have taken classes with us before, we have free online video that reviews each third of the Tai Chi form. Email us for the links.
Anyone can join us for quiet morning practice at 7:30am each day on Zoom.  These sessions are not instructional, just an opportunity to practice 'with' others.  Email us for information.

The Tai Chi Foundation, of which we are a part, has a list of free online classes being offered in the US and Europe.
